As a result of completing my Internship and ECMP 355 I've got more resources for teaching than I know what to do with! On this page I've posted some of my favourite lessons as well as resources for teaching, unfortunately I couldn't post every single one because that could probably be it's own blog and not just a page.
Teaching Resource Lists:
One of my fellow Middle Years Education students, Aaron Warner, created a very handy google doc full of teaching resources. It's been created as a result of the contributions of many other pre-service teachers who have added resources they found useful in their internship.
Social Media List from ECMP 355:
This is a list of incredibly handy teaching tools and resources that were compiled by my ECMP 355 professor Alec Couros. It is definitely worth a look!
Random Resources and Tools I found Handy:
Flickr: You can find photo's to use (with the proper licensing) as well as upload your own photo's.
Xtranormal: Alternative Digital Story Telling Tool
Poll Everywhere: Polling tool that allows participants to enter results through text and email.
Kidblog: Set's up a blog for your classroom.
Soundcloud: Allows you to upload sound files online (I used it for podcasts)
Lessons or Units I've created:
Grade 6/7 Science:
Grade 7/8 Social:
First Encounters-This is a lesson that Kirk Fiege created for his epic Colonization Simulation Unit that I modified and taught in my class
Grade 9 Social/Art Education:
